Nominations for the 2019 Grammy Awards were announced Friday morning. Kendrick Lamar leads the way with eight nominations, while Drake got seven nods. Cardi B is up for Album of the Year, Best Rap Album, as well as Record of the Year (along with J Balvin and Bad Bunny) for “I Like It.” Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande were shut out of the major categories, although both are up for Best Pop Vocal Album. On this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, Michael Che addressed the controversy surrounding Kevin Hart. Saying, “If Kevin Hart isn’t clean enough to host the Oscars, then no black comic is.
