Taylor Swift made the most of a stage malfunction when she got stuck mid-air during her concert in Philadelphia this past Saturday. She was singing “Delicate” when she said, “I’m pretty sure I’m stuck up here. It’s a nice view, though.” As Taylor waited for the stage crew to fix the issue, she chatted to the audience and even led them in an a capella sing-along of her 2007 hit “Our Song.” She resumed the show when a new basket was brought on set.
Footage surfaced this week of Selena Gomez coming to the aid of a fan having an anxiety attack during a backstage meet and greet. In the video, Selena is seen hugging the girl and complimenting her as people look on in awe. “You’re so pretty,” Gomez tells the crying young woman. Fans have since taken to Twitter to praise the pop star for her actions, writing things such as, “God I love this woman” and “I could cry, I love her so much.” Gomez has been open about her battles with anxiety and panic attacks throughout her career.
Meghan Markle attended Wimbledon this past weekend with her sister-in-law Kate Middleton. And, she almost broke royal fashion protocol by wearing a hat. Spectators seated in the royal box are banned from wearing headgear because it may obstruct other guests’ views. They can, however, wear hats elsewhere in the stadium. Photos show that Markle had no choice but to carry her panama hat–which was the same one she wore when she cheered on her friend Serena William at Wimbledon in 2016.
