Bebe Rexha has added her name to the list of female singers who have accused music producer Detail of sexual assault and harassment. On Wednesday, two other singers filed legal documents against the music producer, claiming he raped and physically abused them. A judge granted them restraining orders. Detail is known for his work with artists including Beyonce, Drake, JAY-Z, and Wiz Khalifa.
The “#MuteRKelly” campaign is picking up speed. Spotify has removed R. Kelly’s music from its playlists. Saying “His music will still be available on the service, but Spotify will not actively promote it. We don’t censor content because of an artist’s or creator’s behavior, but we want our editorial decisions–what we choose to program–to reflect our values. R. Kelly is in violation of Spotify’s new anti-hate policy, which aims to promote “openness, diversity, tolerance and respect.”
