Black Panther and Stranger Things were the big winners at the 2018 MTV Movie and TV Awards last night. Black Panther took home four awards, including Best Movie and Best Hero for Chadwick Boseman. Meanwhile, Stranger Things’ second season took home four trophies–including Best Show and Best Performance in a Show for Millie Bobby Brown. The night also saw Lena Waithe honored with the Trailblazer Award and Chris Pratt presented the Generation Award.
While Millie Bobby Brown didn’t attend the ceremony, apparently she split her knee cap, but she accepted the award in a video. During her acceptance speech, she spoke out about bullying. “Since I know there are many young people watching this– and even for the adults–they could probably use the reminder that I was taught. If you don’t have anything nice to say, just don’t say it,” Brown said. “There should be no space in this world for bullying, and I’m not going to tolerate it, and neither should any of you.” She recently deleted her Twitter account after getting cyber bullied.
And, While accepting the award for Best Villain, Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan joked, “I’m shocked that I won this award for best villain. I thought for sure Roseanne had that in the bag.”
