John Goodman has broken his silence on the cancellation of Roseanne after Roseanne Barr’s racist tweet saying to paparazzi, “It’s not that I disrespect you guys, it’s just that I would rather say nothing than to cause more trouble,” Then saying “I don’t know anything about it. I don’t read it… Everything’s fine.” He also shrugged off reports that the cancellation could cause him to lose an Emmy nomination. “I wasn’t gonna get an Emmy anyway,” he says. “I’ve been up there [11] times already, and if I didn’t get one I’m not gonna get one.”
The pharmaceutical firm Sanofi trolled Roseanne Barr for claiming their product made her tweet the racist slur. Tweeting, “People of all races, religions and nationalities work at Sanofi every day to improve the lives of people around the world. While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication.” Apparently, somebody temporarily changed Ambien’s Wikipedia page to note that the drug’s side effects include “racism, Trump-tweeting…and loss of sitcom.”
Taylor Swift has reportedly fired her close friend and backup dancer, Toshi, after his sexist Instagram posts. Taylor is said to be “livid” after discovering the posts. Before turning his Instagram account to private, Toshi made jokes about women’s place being in “the kitchen,” as well as a series of “jokes” about sexual assault. “She has considered him one of her closest friends on the road after recruiting him for her 1989 tour back in 2014,” said a source, “but she simply cannot endorse this behavior and to do so would be setting a bad example to her fans.” Toshi had previously made headlines for setting up a Go Fund Me page for his sick nephew, which Taylor donated $50k towards.
