During yesterday’s candid interview on TMZ Live, Kanye West revealed a lot. Like, he was addicted to opioids after undergoing liposuction in 2016. Saying he had plastic surgery to look good for the fans, so they wouldn’t call him fat like they did to Rob Kardashian. They gave him way to many opioids after the surgery and he got addicted.
Kanye also made a pretty big statement when he seemed to blame black people for slavery in America. Saying “When you hear about slavery for 400 years… For 400 years? That sounds like a choice,” Kanye said. “You were there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all. It’s like we’re mentally imprisoned.” One TMZ employee Van Lathan–who is also black–took issue with Kanye’s assessment and confronted him. Kanye later clarified his comments on Twitter, writing, “Of course I know that slaves did not get shackled and put on a boat by free will. My point is for us to have stayed in that position even though the numbers were on our side means that we were mentally enslaved.”
He also opened up about his infamous 2016 breakdown and hospitalization saying “Fear, stress, control, being controlled, manipulation like being a pawn in the chess piece of life,” Explaining that everything went downhill after he interrupted Taylor at the MTV awards. He said after Kim was robbed in Paris, he felt “helpless.” He even talks about his feud with Jay-Z was a result of Jay missing his wedding to Kim.
