Bill Cosby has been guilty of drugging and raping a former Temple University employee 14 years ago. He was convicted on three felonies each of which could carry a sentence of up to 10 years. After the verdict was read, attorneys argued over whether Cosby was a flight risk, one District Attorney told the judge that Cosby had a plane, when Cosby yelled, “He doesn’t have a plane, you a**hole!” The judge silenced Cosby and allowed him to remain free on $1 million bail on the condition that he surrender his passport.
Two women have accused broadcast journalist Tom Brokaw of inappropriate workplace advances. Former NBC correspondent Linda Vester and an anonymous source allege that Brokaw made unwanted advances and acted inappropriately toward them in the ‘90s, when he was an NBC Nightly News anchor. Brokaw has denied the allegatoins.
The family of Swedish DJ Avicii has released a second statement that suggests he took his own life. In the statement they say “Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul. He really struggled with thoughts about meaning, life, happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace. Tim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight.”
