James Corden hosted the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, where he gave the losing nominees “consolation puppies.”
Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar were the big winners. Mars won all six categories he was nominated in, Lamar took home five awards. Alessia Cara was the Best New Artist and Chris Stapleton won Best Country Album. This year’s top nominee JAY-Z, who earned eight nods for his album 4:44, went home empty-handed.
Kesha teamed up with a number of other ladies for an emotional performance of her song “Praying”. After being introduced by Janelle Monae, who gave a nod to the Time’s Up movement, Kesha and the Resistance choir took the stage in all white outfits. They were also joined by Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Andra Day, Bebe Rexha, and Julia Michaels. Later in the evening, Elton John and Miley Cyrus joined forces for a duet of “Tiny Dancer.”
